Top questions.
- Can Swaps move or freeze the money in my wallet? No. Swaps has no copy of your wallet passkey and cannot sign a send for you. Access through Swaps, provider routes and token transfers may still be restricted.
- What if I lose my phone or my passkey?A synced passkey may be available on a replacement device through your credential provider; availability depends on your settings and access to that account. If no usable passkey or synced copy remains, Swaps cannot recover the wallet.
- What are bank details in my name?Account details in your name that people can pay by bank transfer; the money arrives in your wallet as digital dollars. Bridge’s banking partners issue them. Swaps doesn’t issue bank accounts.
Quick answers
Short answers.
Does the wallet need an ID check?
Not for the wallet itself on Tempo. Bank services through Bridge require verification; other provider routes may also require checks.
What is in my balance?
One US-dollar figure. Under it are US-dollar stablecoins on Tempo, so you never pick between coins.
Does the wallet work outside Swaps?
Your passkey is bound to swaps.app, so the wallet signs only on Swaps. You can still send to and receive from other wallets and exchanges on the routes the wallet shows.
