What if I lose my phone or my passkey?

WalletWallet holders·Live beta·Updated

A synced passkey may be available on a replacement device through your credential provider; availability depends on your settings and access to that account. If no usable passkey or synced copy remains, Swaps cannot recover the wallet.

On a new phone

  1. Sign in to the same keychain

If your credential provider supports sync and it was enabled, sign in to the account holding your passkey.

  2. Open Swaps and sign in

If available on this device, select your wallet passkey, Swaps Tempo Wallet, when you approve a send.

  3. Keep sync on

Check your credential provider’s sync settings and confirm that you can use the passkey on another supported device.

If no usable passkey remains

Swaps has no copy of the key, so it can’t restore the wallet or move its balance. Account login recovery is separate. Stop directing new payments to a wallet you can no longer access, and review any links or invoices that settle there.

Two passkeys, two jobs

Your login passkey signs you in. Your wallet passkey, Swaps Tempo Wallet, approves money moves. Losing one doesn’t remove the other.
