Swaps Privacy Policy

This page summarises the Privacy Policy for Swaps.app. We collect the minimum data needed to compare provider quotes and route you to the right on/off-ramp. Swaps does not sell personal data and does not custody funds. The detailed policy lives in the full document and governs in case of conflict with this summary.

What we collect

Geo signals — country detected from request headers and an ipapi.co fallback, so Swaps can show valid corridors and fiats for your market. The country code is cached client-side for four hours; we do not store your IP.
Quote inputs — coin, fiat, amount, payment method, optional wallet address. Required to fetch live quotes and to hand you off to the provider's checkout.
Anonymised analytics — pageviews, button clicks, and route counters. We use these to improve the product and verify SLOs.
Optional account data — if you sign in (magic-link email), we store the email so you can return to in-progress sessions.

What we share with providers

When you open a provider checkout from Swaps, the provider receives the data they need to complete the transaction (amount, currency, payment method, wallet address). Each provider has its own privacy policy and KYC requirements. We do not share your personal information with providers you did not select.

Your rights

You can request export or deletion of any data Swaps holds about you by contacting us through the support form. EU/UK users have GDPR rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability. We respond within statutory deadlines.
