Swaps Cookie Policy

Swaps.app uses cookies and similar storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) to make the product work and to understand how visitors use it. This page explains what each category does and how you can opt out where applicable.

Strictly necessary

These keep the site functional. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features. Examples: country detection cache (4-hour TTL), session tokens for in-flight quote requests, and CSRF protection. No analytics or marketing data is sent through this category.

Functional

Remember preferences (theme, language, recent routes). Disabling these doesn't break core features but does reset preferences each visit.

Analytics

We measure aggregated pageviews, button clicks, and route counts to improve the product. Analytics signals are anonymised and never matched to a specific user identity. You can opt out via your browser's "Do Not Track" header or by declining analytics in our cookie banner; the product continues to work in either case.

Marketing

Used to measure referral attribution (UTM, referrer origin). No third-party advertising trackers.

Provider-side cookies

When you open a provider's checkout from Swaps, that provider may set its own cookies on its own domain. Swaps does not control those cookies — see the provider's privacy and cookie policies for details.

Your choices

Reject non-essential cookies via the consent banner on first load. You can clear all Swaps storage at any time through your browser's site settings.
