Search Address Report — Consumer Terms
Last updated: 2026-05-22 Version: 1.0
These terms govern your use of the Swaps Search Address Report ("Report") product. They supplement the Terms of Service and, in case of conflict for matters specific to Reports, control.
By generating a Report or purchasing a Credit pack to generate Reports, you agree to these terms.
1. What the Report is
A Search Address Report is an automated, informational summary of publicly available data about a single blockchain address. It typically includes:
- Risk signals — exposure to known illicit clusters, mixers, sanctioned addresses, scam tagging from third-party feeds.
- On-chain context — first-seen / last-seen dates, transaction volume bands, counterparty patterns.
- Narrative — an AI-generated summary of the above signals (see the AI Disclosure §5).
1.1 Distribution channels — same product, same terms
The Report and its underlying Swaps Search intelligence are delivered through four channels. These terms apply identically across all four:
- Swaps Search on the web —
swaps.app/searchandswaps.app/case/*. - Swaps Search inside the Swaps iOS app — same intelligence and tooling, exposed natively in the iOS app.
- agent.swaps.app endpoints — read-only programmatic access to checks, taxonomy, and corridor data (see the Developer / API / MCP Terms).
- Swaps Search via ChatGPT App / MCP connector — read-only V1. The public ChatGPT Apps Directory candidate is Search-only: address checks, transaction explanations, fund tracing, taxonomy, and corridor-support information. It does not provide crypto purchase quotes, checkout links, trades, transfers, payments, or provider sessions inside ChatGPT. Private Developer Mode and other MCP surfaces may expose route-quote retrieval for testing or agent use; where those surfaces return a route quote, any checkout link points only to a Swaps-owned domain and the actual checkout happens externally there. There is no OAuth in V1; authenticated workspace, report, and credits flows return
auth_requiredand are not executed inside the ChatGPT host. Tool responses may include request IDs for support and debugging.
Reports are available in free preview/brief form and as Full Reports. Each Account receives a free allowance for generated Full Reports; after that allowance, Full Reports use Credits purchased individually (€1 / $1) or in Credit packs (5 / 10 / 20 Reports). Cached re-reads of the same generated Full Report are free. Pricing, Credit balances, and refund policy are the same regardless of channel.
2. What the Report is not
- Not legal evidence. Reports are not admissible as expert opinion in court without separate qualification by an expert witness.
- Not a certification. A "clean" Report does not certify that an address is safe. A "flagged" Report does not certify that an address is involved in wrongdoing.
- Not investment advice. Reports do not recommend buying, selling, or holding any asset, and they do not opine on the legal status of any transaction.
- Not a law-enforcement product. Swaps is not a law-enforcement agency. We do not issue subpoenas, freeze orders, or prosecute. Reports may be a useful starting point for a victim to bring to law enforcement, but they are not a substitute for law-enforcement action.
- Not a financial-crime investigation. Reports do not constitute a forensic accounting investigation, a sanctions audit, or an enhanced-due-diligence review.
3. Data sources
Reports are built from:
- Public on-chain data — block explorers, public RPCs, indexers.
- Third-party risk feeds — sanctions screening (OpenSanctions), known-cluster tagging (third-party intelligence providers), public scam databases.
- Swaps' own observations — patterns observed in our infrastructure (anonymised, aggregated).
Data sources can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. A new threat may not be reflected in our feeds yet. A false-positive tag may persist past correction by the upstream source.
4. Accuracy
We aim for accuracy but do not warrant it. We do not warrant that any Report is complete, current, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose. Reports are provided "as is" — see the Terms of Service §15.
Where you observe a clear factual error in a Report (e.g., an address tagged "scam" that you can show is not), report it to legal@swaps.app for investigation. We escalate verified errors to the upstream data source where applicable.
5. Credits and pricing
- A Brief Report / quick preview is free.
- Each Account receives an initial free allowance for generated Full Reports.
- A Full Report costs €1 (or local equivalent / $1 USD) after the free allowance.
- Cached re-reads of the same generated Full Report are free and do not consume another Credit.
- Credit packs discount the per-Report price: 5 Reports / 10 Reports / 20 Reports at the rates displayed at checkout.
Credits are non-cash, non-transferable, and have no expiry. Once a Credit is spent on a Report, it is consumed regardless of the Report's content.
6. Refund policy
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Report returned zero risk signals and zero on-chain context (i.e., genuinely empty — the address has no detectable history we can surface) | One-time Credit refund per pack, on request within 24 hours, by emailing legal@swaps.app with the address queried and the Report timestamp. |
| Report returned data but the data did not satisfy you | Not refundable. Reports are informational; we cannot guarantee findings. |
| Address you queried turned out not to be the one you meant to query | Not refundable. Verify the address before generating. |
| You purchased a Credit pack but have not used any Credits | Refundable within 14 days of purchase if no Credits used, in line with EU consumer-rights law on digital content (Directive 2011/83/EU). |
| You purchased a Credit pack and used some Credits, then want a refund on the rest | Pro-rata refund of unused Credits, within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, no cash refund. |
Refunds are processed in the original payment method via Stripe, within 14 calendar days. Bank processing time is additional.
7. Restrictions on use of Reports
- Reports are for your own informational use or for sharing with your own lawyer / law-enforcement / investigator.
- You may not republish a Report as if it were certified.
- You may quote individual data points from a Report with attribution to "Swaps Address Report" and a link to www.swaps.app.
- You may not use Reports to defame, harass, or stalk individuals or businesses associated with the queried address. Such use may breach the Acceptable Use Policy and may give the affected party a claim against you.
- You may not mass-query addresses (more than 50 unique addresses per hour from one Account, IP, or fingerprint). Such activity is rate-limited and may result in Account restriction.
8. Defamation and reputation risk
Tagging an address as "scam", "high risk", or similar can affect the reputation of the address owner. We rely on third-party data sources for these tags. Where you believe an address has been incorrectly tagged in our Reports:
- Email legal@swaps.app with the address, the Report, the tag you dispute, and your basis for disputing it.
- We acknowledge within 5 business days.
- We investigate and respond substantively within 30 calendar days.
- Where the tag is sourced from a third party and we cannot independently verify it, we update Report presentation to attribute the tag to the third party and offer a "disputed" annotation.
- Where the tag is wrong on the merits, we remove it and update the upstream source where we have the ability to do so.
We are not the originator of all tags and cannot guarantee removal from upstream feeds we do not control. Where the affected address is yours and you can prove ownership (e.g., by signing a message), we will more readily annotate or remove tags than where ownership is unclear.
9. Privacy in Reports
Reports query public blockchain data. Blockchain addresses are public; transactions involving them are public. We do not collect or display personally identifiable information of address owners unless that information is itself public and we have a lawful basis to display it. See the Privacy Policy.
10. Children
The Report product is not directed to users under 18. See the Terms of Service §3.1.
11. AI use in Reports
The narrative section of a Report is generated by an AI model that summarises the underlying signals. See the AI Disclosure §5. Where the AI narrative disagrees with the underlying signals, the signals are authoritative.
12. Disputes
Disputes about Reports — refund eligibility, accuracy challenges, tag removal — are first addressed by emailing legal@swaps.app. If not resolved within 30 calendar days, the dispute resolution provisions in the Terms of Service §21-22 apply.
