Transaction Limits
Limits depend on your verification level (KYC tier) and payment method. Swaps shows exact limits from each provider before you start.

- Basic KYC (ID): $500–$5,000 per transaction
- Full KYC (ID + Selfie): $10,000–$50,000 per transaction
- Premium / Business: $50,000+ (provider-dependent)

Why providers set different limits
Each licensed provider operates under a specific regulatory framework — Lithuania VASP, FinCEN MSB, FCA registered, etc. — and the framework dictates KYC thresholds and per-transaction caps. Higher tiers exist because regulators require enhanced due diligence above certain amounts. Swaps does not set the limit; we surface the truthful per-provider cap before you start so you know which routes can complete your intended trade size.
Per-corridor caps
Card transactions usually have lower per-transaction caps than bank-rail transactions because card-network risk profiles are stricter. Country-specific rails (PIX in Brazil, UPI in India, M-Pesa in Kenya) often have country-set instant transfer caps that flow through to the corridor. Use the comparison to find the provider whose caps and KYC tier best match your trade size — Swaps re-ranks by total receive amount within your eligible-by-limits set.
