Can Swaps move or freeze the money in my wallet?
WalletWallet holders·Live beta·Updated
No. Swaps has no copy of your wallet passkey and cannot sign a send for you. Access through Swaps, provider routes and token transfers may still be restricted.
What Swaps can and can’t do
- Swaps can show your balance, prepare a transaction and submit the ones you sign.
- Swaps can’t sign a send for you. It has no copy of your wallet passkey.
- Swaps stores your public address and account details, not your key.
When someone else holds the money
Bank transfers involve Bridge and its banking partners. Cross-network payments use Relay contracts and liquidity providers. Funds in transit remain subject to the route’s completion, return and compliance rules.
What it means for you
A confirmed network send generally cannot be reversed. Keep access to your passkey; sync and recovery depend on your credential provider and settings. See what if I lose my passkey.
