How recipients choose a Payroll payout destination
Category: Payroll
Answer
A payroll recipient does not need access to the employer dashboard. The employer sends or triggers a secure recipient link, and the recipient uses that link to choose or confirm their payout destination. Destination options - Bank payout: an eligible Bridge external account supported by the provider for the recipient, currency, and rail. - Tempo wallet payout: planned for Payroll after production wallet proof; not available for live Payroll execution yet.
Swaps validates destination format and provider capability before marking the recipient as ready. The recipient link does not expose employer internals, other recipients, total payroll amounts, or the employer's dashboard data. After saving a destination The recipient can see a status receipt for their own payout. If the payout is paid, failed, or returned, Swaps records the row-level status and keeps the employer audit trail updated. For failure handling, see what to do if a payroll payout fails or returns.
