Step by step

Create a crypto payment link in five steps.

  1. 01Request

    Fill in the request.

In the dashboard, open Payment links and choose New payment link. The first step, Request details, asks who pays and for what.

    • Client. Anyone with the link, or a saved client. With a client email, Swaps emails the invoice once the link is live.
    • Currency. One per link. It decides which methods your client sees.
    • What you bill. A single amount with a title, or line items from your products.
    • Details. An invoice number and a due date. The link expires on its due date.

Nothing moves yet. Everything stays a draft until you activate it, so you can save and come back.

    Amount

  2. 02Settlement

Choose how your client can pay and where you receive.

The Settlement step lists every method for the link's currency with its status on your account: Available, Action required, In review or Not enabled. Only available methods are offered to your client.

Then pick the settlement destination: a saved crypto address, a new one, or your Swaps wallet. A USD link can settle to your Swaps wallet where enabled; your client then pays in stablecoins on Tempo.

Settling to a bank account? Then your client pays in USDC. A link cannot turn one bank transfer into another.

  3. 03Review

    Review, then create and activate.

Review reads back the title, total, client, where it settles and the due date. Accept the attestation: you take payments for your own goods and services, not on behalf of third parties.

Create & activate makes the link live. Save as draft keeps it without moving money. If activation is refused, the link stays a draft and its page says why.

Activation needs a verified account: business verification, or a verified individual account. Where the money lands is locked in at activation.

  4. 04Share

    Copy or share the link.

Once it is live, the dashboard shows the link to copy, a share button and a QR code to show on screen or print. If the link has a client email, you can email the invoice from the same screen.

Send the link by email or any chat. Your client opens it on their own device and needs no Swaps account.

  5. 05Get paid

Your client pays. Follow it to Settled.

On the payment page your client first gives their details: paying as a business or an individual, and an optional email for the receipt. Then they choose from the methods this link offers.

A bank transfer shows bank instructions. A crypto payment shows the exact amount, coin and network: only that coin on that network can be sent.

In your dashboard the link moves from Active to Viewed, Processing, Paid and Settled. A link can also expire, be cancelled or be refunded.

Compare

A link, a wallet address or a crypto invoice?

Three ways to ask for a stablecoin payment. Pasting your wallet address works, but the payer types the amount and picks the network, and nothing tracks it for you.

Cost

Drafting is free. A paid link carries 1%.

There is no setup or monthly fee. Provider, network or FX costs are shown on the payment page before your client pays. Crypto on Tempo or Relay: payer adds 1%. Cross-chain via Bridge and bank: 1% is deducted from what you receive. On a USD link that settles to your Swaps wallet, the 1% is added on top for your client, so you receive the full amount.

Trust

Swaps is the interface. A named partner moves bank money.

Swaps provides the interface and transaction coordination. Bank payments are processed by Bridge, the provider for supported bank services, named on the payment page before anyone pays and never swapped silently. Where the money lands is locked in when you activate the link.

One coin, one network. The payment page names both. Sending a different coin, or on a different network, can lose the funds.

FAQ

Questions about payment links.

Does my client need a Swaps account?

No. Your client opens the link and pays without a Swaps account. They only see the payment methods that work for this link.

Can my client pay in USDT?

Payment links ask for USDC, or for US-dollar stablecoins on Tempo when a USD link settles on Tempo. The payment page names the exact coin and network; sending anything else can lose the funds.

Can I create a link before I verify?

Yes. Drafts save without verification. Activation, which makes the link payable, needs business verification or a verified individual account.

What does a payment link cost?

Drafting is free, with no setup or monthly fee. Crypto on Tempo or Relay: payer adds 1%. Cross-chain via Bridge and bank: 1% is deducted from what you receive. Provider, network or FX costs are shown before your client pays.

Does a payment link expire?

If you set a due date, the link expires on it and can no longer be paid. With no due date it stays open until it is paid or you cancel it.

Can the money go straight to my own wallet?

Yes. Choose a saved crypto address as the destination, or your Swaps wallet on a USD link where enabled. With the Swaps wallet your client pays the 1% on top and you receive the full amount.
