Crypto Off-Ramp or Pay a Supplier Directly?
If you hold USDC and need to settle a supplier invoice, there are two different money paths. You can sell the USDC to your own bank account and pay the supplier from there, or you can use Pay Invoice to fund one supported supplier bank payment directly.
Neither path is universally better. The right choice depends on who should receive the bank transfer, which bank rail is supported, and whether you are ready for the required verification.
What an off-ramp does
An off-ramp converts crypto into fiat for your own bank destination. On Swaps, a sell route compares eligible providers for the country, asset, amount, and payout method. The live route and provider checkout own availability, verification, pricing, and execution.
After fiat reaches your bank, you create the supplier payment in your banking workflow. That gives you a separate cash-out step and a separate supplier-payment step.
What paying a supplier directly does
Pay Invoice starts from the external invoice. You choose a public corridor, enter the recipient bank details, review the provider-backed funding instructions, and fund with USDC only after the product confirms eligibility.
Public corridors are limited to:
The supplier receives fiat in a supported bank account. They do not need a Swaps account or a crypto wallet. Partner verification and exact recipient, account, and corridor checks apply before funds move.
Choose by destination, not by slogan
Use an off-ramp when the intended destination is your own bank account or when you need to manage the supplier payment separately. Consider Pay Invoice when the intended destination is one supported supplier bank account and the invoice fits a live USD or EUR corridor.
If a corridor or account is not eligible, Pay Invoice must stop and show the next step. It does not silently reroute the payment through another product.
Keep the products distinct
- Payment Links help a business collect a payment from a customer.
- Pay Invoice pays one supported external supplier invoice.
- Payroll executes approved employee or contractor payout runs.
Start with the destination you actually need. Then let the product confirm the rail and verification state before you fund anything.
