ACH vs Wire for a US Invoice Funded With USDC
Swaps supports two public Pay Invoice rails for a USD bank invoice: ACH and wire. Both start with USDC funding and end at a supported US bank account, but they are separate capabilities with separate eligibility and recipient-display rules.
What stays the same
For either rail, you enter the invoice target and the recipient bank details. The product checks the exact USD rail, amount, account, and verified customer state before it returns funding instructions.
Do not send USDC from a static marketing-page estimate. The authenticated product review is the source of truth for whether the selected route can proceed.
When ACH fits
ACH is the USD bank capability whose sender display is the payment partner. Choose it only when the product confirms that the recipient account and amount are eligible for the ACH corridor.
When wire fits
Wire is a separate USD bank capability. Its sender-display contract is the verified customer, which can matter when the supplier needs to identify who initiated the bank payment. The product still has to confirm the exact account, amount, and route before funding.
Compare the product state
The useful comparison is not a broad claim that one rail is always preferable. Review these product facts instead:
- Which rail is available for the recipient bank account.
- Whether the amount meets the server-owned minimum for that capability.
- Which sender identity the capability is designed to display.
- Whether partner verification and payout eligibility are complete.
If the product cannot confirm a public/live route, stop and resolve the stated blocker. Pay Invoice does not replace an unavailable ACH route with wire, or wire with ACH, without an explicit choice.
Continue with the right surface
Open Pay a US invoice with crypto to compare the public rails, or start from the Pay Invoice overview. If the payment is specifically for an external vendor, the supplier invoice page explains how this differs from collecting through Payment Links or running Payroll.
