Fetch.ai (FET)
AI agents that work for you. The future of autonomous commerce.
What is Fetch.ai?
Fetch.ai is building a decentralized platform for autonomous AI agents — software programs that can independently negotiate, transact, and collaborate on behalf of users. These agents can find the best deals, optimize supply chains, manage DeFi positions, and perform complex tasks without human intervention.
The project combines artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, and blockchain technology. The Fetch.ai network provides the infrastructure for these AI agents to discover each other, communicate, and settle transactions trustlessly. This vision of "autonomous economic agents" represents one of the most ambitious intersections of AI and crypto.
FET is the token that powers the network — used for deploying agents, accessing AI services, staking, and governance. Fetch.ai merged with SingularityNET and Ocean Protocol to form the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI), creating one of the largest AI-focused crypto projects.
How Fetch.ai Works
Imagine hiring a personal assistant that runs on software. You tell your AI agent what you want — "find me the cheapest flight" or "optimize my DeFi yield" — and it goes out, communicates with other agents, negotiates, and executes the best option. Fetch.ai provides the town square where these agents meet, the language they speak, and the currency (FET) they use to transact. The blockchain ensures that agents follow through on their commitments and that payments are handled automatically.
Fetch.ai Ecosystem
- Autonomous AI agents for DeFi, supply chain, and commerce
- Part of the ASI Alliance (with SingularityNET and Ocean Protocol)
- AI-powered tools for yield optimization and trading
- Decentralized machine learning and data sharing
- Staking FET to earn rewards and participate in governance
Team & Development
Fetch.ai was founded by Humayun Sheikh (CEO), Toby Simpson, and Thomas Hain in 2017. Sheikh is also the chairman of Artificial Superintelligence Alliance. The team includes researchers from Cambridge University and has backgrounds in AI, machine learning, and multi-agent systems. The ASI merger with SingularityNET (Ben Goertzel) and Ocean Protocol (Trent McConaghy) created a combined entity focused on decentralized AI.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are AI agents?
AI agents are autonomous software programs that act on your behalf. They can search for information, negotiate deals, execute trades, and manage tasks — all without you needing to be involved in every step. Fetch.ai provides the network where these agents operate.
What is the ASI Alliance?
The Artificial Superintelligence Alliance is a merger between Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, and Ocean Protocol. FET tokens are being consolidated into ASI tokens, creating one of the largest AI-crypto projects. Check current migration status when purchasing.
Where do I store FET?
FET is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Store it in MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Ledger, or any Ethereum-compatible wallet.
Can I sell or swap FET?
Yes. Swaps supports selling FET for fiat and swapping it for other tokens.
