Team & Development

Enjin was founded in 2009 by Maxim Blagov and Witek Radomski as a gaming community platform. In 2017, the team pivoted to blockchain and launched the Enjin Coin ICO. Witek Radomski co-authored the ERC-1155 token standard, which became the industry standard for gaming NFTs. Enjin has been building blockchain gaming infrastructure for over seven years.

What does it mean that an NFT is backed by ENJ?

When an NFT is minted on Enjin, the creator locks ENJ into it. That ENJ is removed from circulation. If you own the NFT and decide you don't want it, you can melt it and receive the ENJ back. This creates a price floor — the NFT is always worth at least the ENJ inside it.

Can I use Enjin NFTs in any game?

Only in games that integrate Enjin. Developers must choose to support cross-game items. Enjin provides the infrastructure, but game studios decide whether to accept NFTs from other games.

Where do I store ENJ?

ENJ is an ERC-20 token. Use the Enjin Wallet (official), MetaMask, Ledger, or any Ethereum wallet. Enjin NFTs are ERC-1155 tokens stored in the same wallets.

Can I sell or swap ENJ?

Swaps sells stablecoins only — USDC, USDT and USDB — to a bank account in your name; Enjin can't be sold on Swaps. Swapping is paused on Swaps while we rebuild it; buying works.
